How does Greek101.com safeguard your information?

We pay close attention to security. Shopping at Greek101.com is safe and secure. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is an industry standard protocol developed by Netscape for transmitting private documents and secure commerce transactions via the Internet. SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. Many web sites use the protocol to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers. By convention, URLs that require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http:.

Credit Card numbers for orders placed online at Greek101.com are not stored on Greek101.com servers or email. For your security only the last 4 digits of your credit card number are on Greek101.com servers and in online order receipt emails. For verification purposes employees of Greek101.com only have access to these last four numbers, and may need to ask you for your full credit card information in the event that we need to process a refund or you are placing or adding to an order over the phone.

We utilize technology as well as implement electronic, physical and managerial procedures to try to make sure that external parties cannot access or modify user's or customer's personal information on our servers. These technologies and procedures include industry standard methods.

However, while we strive to protect your personal information, it is impossible for Greek101.com to guarantee the security of the information you transmit to us. In this regard, we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data while you are on the Internet. At a minimum, we encourage you to change your passwords often, using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure that you are using a secure browser as you surf the Internet.

We hope you, your fraternity and sorority members enjoy using and shopping at Greek 101.
